'Science in the Park'
VCU teams with community partners to launch website about the science in James River parks
Whether it is by hopping on a bike and riding up and down rugged trails, heading onto the water for some rafting or taking a stroll in search of spring warblers, eagles and herons, the parks along the James River offer plenty of ways to enjoy the great outdoors. It’s also an area brimming with natural wonder. And beneath that wonder is a foundation of science.

an exercise for imaging in which my class and i hit the streets around the Compass. gotta love how there are so many pedestrians and bicyclists and boarders and such at VCU.
“Give me your money or I’ll shoot you and your dog.”
That’s what was heard by two robbery victims early Friday morning. The two victims were on the outskirts of the VCU campus, walking their dog, when they were approached by a man asking for a cigarette.
When the victims said they didn’t have one, the man revealed a gun and said he would shoot the two victims and the dog. Victims handed over their wallets and passports to two other suspects before they all fled towards an alley on Grace Street.
Some VCU students have been shaken by the recent event, especially since it was so close to campus. Read what students are saying now: http://on.wtvr.com/wAKTS5j
